Abstract :
Business process model (BPM) is the kernel of applications, and also the basic elements of management system. The adaptability of BPM decided the applications adaptability of deployment and the capability of extending. Then how to understand the configuration of BPM well and truly, and how to analyze the configuration effectiveness are the pre-conditions that decided the design quality of BPM and to be compatible with the organization. So from a configuration perspective, put forward a system analysis method for BPM. Start from brought forward the configuration direction, namely horizontal, vertical and collaboration net. Then introduced the concept of configurable point (CP) and configuration parameter (CoP), and analysis the configuration effectiveness based on the CP and CoP. A case of customer-supplier total transaction process was identified base on the configuration direction and CP, CoP. Thus, combined with structural management that composed of three dimensions (sphere, process and control), the system analysis from configuration perspective constructed a analysis method of BPM for improvement and reengineering.
