Abstract
The performance measurement for Web-based e-commerce has its importance increased with the gradual maturing of the digital market. Considering that e-retail companies do not attract investments as when they where first presented to the market, the need for an accurate control of their performance and profitability emerges. This paper´s main objective is to determine directives to delimit the most relevant principium in the adoption of the performance measurement for Web-based e-commerce, that would contribute to a better understanding of the importance and challenges involved in the definition and use of the Web-based e-commerce performance indicators
