Abstract :
One of the most recognised and renowned methods of excitation of waveguide consists of a small coaxial-line, terminated in the centre of the broad face of a rectangular guide ,with its inner conductor extending a certain distance (d) into the guide. This is the simplest and the most practical kind of excitation, thus, sufficient evaluations and contours of its matching to a variety of cables have already been calculated, however the thinner the probe, the better the approximation and thus the matching condition. One problem that can interfere with this case is that any motion and shake of waveguide can result in trembling of the thin probe and mismatching of the coaxial line with waveguide. In this paper, we consider the case in which the probe is covered and fixed with a solid dielectric and will calculate some equations for input impedance for the probe and discuss the condition of impedance matching
