Abstract :
It is well known that the second order digital filter with two´s complement arithmetic may exhibit chaos for certain values of parameters. In this paper, we show that for a particular set of parameter values, the second order digital filter with two´s complement arithmetic exhibits periodic behaviors. The relation between the period of the trajectories and the travelling pattern is explored. Simulation results are given to validate the analysis
