Abstract :
This paper presents two models of switched beam antennas that can be used in radio planning and interference mitigation studies based on Monte-Carlo analysis. The models are implemented in a sharing and compatibility study of two different radio systems that share the same geographical area and have neighboring frequency bands. The results agree very well with the one obtained using measured radiation patterns of the switched beam antenna, eliminating the inconvenience to know the radiation pattern of all the beams in the switched beam antenna
