Evolution and Prospects of Airborne Weather Radar Functionality and Technology

This paper presents an overview and analysis of a class of airborne radar systems that usually are named weather radars though traditionally they are multifunctional avionics systems. Functional, methodical, and technological aspects of airborne weather radar are considered.
