Use P2P for Online Transaction and Electronic Marketplace

While P2P technology is mainly used in delivering digital content, we believe its characteristics are also suitable to be applied in constructing online electronic marketplace. The features such as low cost, high reliability and performance of P2P network could improve the services of online transaction which currently build on centralized architecture. In this paper, we analyze the desired features of P2P network in designing distributed electronic marketplace and examine their advantages over conventional approaches. Obviously, many works remains before broadly adopting P2P technology for online transactions. What we did is trying to provide a foundation for designing such platform, and we hope our work is helpful for further research on P2P´s application in business area.
