Abstract :
In this paper, coherent demodulation models, corresponding to two modulation schemes, including pilot channel and pilot symbol assisted in the reverse link of wideband CDMA, are given. Analysis and comparison of the above two schemes with that of noncoherent modulation are given. It is concluded that the performance enhancement, concerning system capacity, is related to the ratio of the pilot signal power to total transmission power in the reverse link for the wideband CDMA systems
