Abstract
This paper presents the results of research a possibility to implement the mode of windshear detection in a non-coherent weather radar with a magnetron as a transmitter. The decision making is done on the basis of F-criterion that takes into account the aircraft speed and both vertical and horizontal components of wind velocity in the given area of airspace. The main problem was to create the conditions to estimate remotely the necessary components of wind by means of non-Doppler airborne radar. This problem is solved by digital intrinsic coherence with taking into account real instability of the radar system
