Abstract :
A three-phase uninterruptible power supply system (UPS) with a unity input power factor and a high DC voltage conversion ratio is designed and implemented. This study contains three main parts. First, a three-phase sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) AC-to-DC power converter with unity input power factor and near-optimum voltage dynamic regulation is proposed. Second, an optimum harmonic injection pulse width modulation (HIPWM) function, which gives a higher DC voltage conversion ratio for three-phase inverters, is presented. Third, a new control configuration with an instantaneous and average feedback for the UPS inverter under the HIPWM scheme is proposed.<>
