Abstract :
Nowadays, horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWT) do not work continuously, as they don´t work about 20% of the yearly period, due to low wind velocity conditions. In this present paper this problem is addressed by analyzing a wind farm and a vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) with a wind concentrator. Results proved that the electric energy production of HAWTs could be improved if they are combined with VAWTs.
