Abstract :
A novel approach to the problem of detecting a passive sensor array is proposed in this paper, which is based on the optimization of a cost function with Newton-like method. The method optimizes the DOA and power parameters of a cost function simultaneously. The algorithm can estimate DOA, power and number of sources simultaneously. Computer simulation results show that the algorithm has lower region value of signal noise ratio than many methods, such as, Akaike information critical (AIC) and Gerschgorin disks estimation (GDE).
