Abstract :
Colour gamut is the colour area that a colour device can produce maximally. The process of maintaining the overall colour appearance of an image while extending the colours of the source device to fit the gamut of the target device is called gamut extension. As a number of colour devices have been used widely, the gamut extension technique is required across colour media. In this study, existing gamut extension methods were surveyed and gamut extension methods using observer experimental data are suggested
