Abstract
In a previous paper (ibid., vol.8, 1986), the authors presented a cycled inference engine that has been developed for the expert system shell SUPER to manage dynamic processes such as resuscitation protocol monitoring. In this work they present the structure that has been realized to implement this system on the site. The communication toolbox that has been developed to help the physicians to have a dialogue with the system and to connect various instruments is first briefly presented. The multimicroprocessor-based structure that has been realized is then described. A part of the system manages the data coming from the transducers: the other part manages the deduction procedures. The two asynchronous systems communicate using the technique of semaphores each time a transfer of information is needed. The knowledge base and the experimental protocol are then briefly described.<>
