  • Abstract
    J. Benesty et al. (1995, 1996) pointed out that if we apply the affine projection method directly to a multichannel adaptive echo cancelling algorithm, the convergence characteristics are not necessarily good because of the lack of correlation between the multichannel signals. They then proposed a new algorithm called “MC-APA”. However it has drawbacks in that the correction vectors of echo cancellers are confined to the orthogonal subspace of input signals and that its mathematical meaning is not so clear. This paper proposes a new algorithm to improve their method by choosing correction vectors from the entire input signal space for echo-cancelling and show good convergence characteristics in comparison with other methods
