  • Abstract
A learning community is a group of people who share common values and beliefs, are actively engaged in learning together from each other. In order to improve the teaching and learning quality of our college, teachers and students were assigned into various learning communities. An information system is needed to provide good supports for learning communities. There are many kinds of tools which can be used to build a platform for members of a learning community to communicate with each other. Moodle is a very good tool to build platforms for learning communities. Then a set of platforms were built. Based on these learning communities, teachers made up their vocational development layouts and students wrote down their personal lifelong development blueprints and the group collaborative action plans. Some workflows of our management were transformed on these platforms.
