Abstract
Virtual reality technology is widely used in indoor building walkthrough. As the limited capabilities with data volume and network transfer, 3D scenes on the Web have less photorealistic and interactive than stand-alone systems. This paper designs and implements a system for indoor virtual roaming. Its manipulating mechanism make scene with good interactivity. Moreover, powerful capabilities in data compression increase the speed of data transfer. Finally, this system is applied to a project on displaying an online sample rooms. The result shows that it can enable consumers to have an immersive experience.
