Abstract
Compressed Sensing is a novel theory that has been playing a significant role in the area of image processing, signal processing, wireless communication and sensor networks etc. As the signals in wireless sensor networks are sparse as compared with the number of nodes, therefore compressed sensing method is adaptive for data transmission among sensor nodes. In this paper, we propose a compressed sensing based data gathering scheme in Home Area Network for smart grid. Through simulation result, the performance of low power data gathering is demonstrated where more than half power consumption could be reduced as compared with traditional data gathering schemes. Simulation result exhibits the effectiveness of the proposed system.
