Abstract :
In order to make the GIS professional curriculum setting in universities more reasonable, and make the overall quality and employment ability of GIS major students have a significantly improvement, based on full analysis of the market demands, the disciplinary system, as well as the setting of GIS professional curriculum in other universities of our country. The author presents a new scheme of GIS curriculum optimization setting about the professional basic courses, the professional backbone courses, the compusary practice courses and the professional elective course, as well as describes the main purpose and contents of the curriculum setting. Finally, from the aspects of holding the market demands, valuing professional integration, enhancing teach practice, changing the process of education management and so on, the author do an exploration about the new cultivating way of GIS talents in composite engineering style.
