Abstract
This paper proposes a new method to quantify the input current ripple cancellation effect of Interleaved Boost Converter (IBC) and derives an universal formula to quantify the input current ripple waveform of IBC. The practical factors that affect the input current ripple are presented and the comprehensive design of the input current ripple minimization of IBC is discussed based on this universal formula and the other practical factors. Simulation and experimental results verify the theoretical analysis.
