Abstract
Summary form only given. An externally loaded waveguide between input and output terminals in the two-cavity klystron-oscillato~?? plays an important role as the feedback loop. Thus, phase and amplihlde of the feedback can be easily tuned by the waveguide according to synchronous condition of the electron beam. The simple interaction mechanism can lead to analyze and to optimize its device-performance straightforwardly. Nevertheless, wall-loss on the waveguide-feedback has a limit to satisfy a stable oscillation-condition in the high frequency, particularly sub-millimeter regime. Furthermore, the starting oscillation cwent requires unrealistically high current density in the tiny circuit feature. Therefore, we propose a novel oscillator, two-heam feedback oscillator, based on the interaction of two electron beam reversely traveling through the parallel coupled-cavity. It is motivated to get rid of the heavily loaded external feedback and to reduce the starting oscillation current for the high frequency application.
