Abstract
Individuals have entered the balance sheet as intellectual assets. It is now recognized that individuals have become critical to economic activity. Human potential is finally being realized. The knowledge age has given each person the opportunity for satisfying lifetime careers of creativity and innovation. First, they must develop a value-added capability. Then they must make develop a coalition attitude in preparation for effective collaboration. Members of coalitions recognize that group achievement is in their own best interest. Knowledge is created in these coalitions as they solve increasingly complex problems. This knowledge must then be shared across the organization. New leadership roles are required to increase the effectiveness of this knowledge creation and transfer process
