Self-study is not well-established in Japan even in the 2nd cycle of Certified Evaluation and Accreditation System. The reason is in system issue &amp, simplism of means. Self-study design, including strategic plan making and self-directive improvement at site, is needed for Quality Assurance in the contextual situation of Japan.
