Reflection Upon Present Competition-Oriented Corporate Culture: In Knowledge Management Perspective

Abstract :
Within nowadays highly competitive external environment, the efficiency of knowledge management (KM) determines corporations´ performance and competitiveness especially for those knowledge-intensive organizations. KM is not only a matter about information technology application but requires a human-oriented corporate culture as its essential supporter. From KM spiral theory, some key environmental factors correlated with KM are discussed, and then the obstacles arising from the popular corporate culture are analyzed. At last, through analysis of connotation system of human-oriented culture, this paper gives some suggestions about how to reconstruct corporate culture.
