Abstract :
Gradient-Index Plastic Optical Fiber (GI-POF) offers significant potential as an ultra-high bandwidth communication medium for EMI-free all-optical network architecture that is especially suitable for gigabit Internet home networking service. Recent advances in GI-POF are discussed.
