Abstract
International logistics providers are constantly seeking to improve their competitiveness through the use of information systems. Most of the existing literature on the logistics sector´s use of information systems focuses on the use of a single IT system at a time rather than looking at this issue from a set-based perspective. Taking a unique look at how major logistics firms use their information systems, this study investigates the IT sets of different information sub-systems in place at logistics firms and their effects on these companies´ performances. Market Basket Analysis is used first to identify the most frequently used combinations of information systems, and is then followed by a statistical analysis based on t-testing to evaluate the organizational performance of logistics firms.
