Abstract :
How to compute an appropriate mean-curve for impulse parameter evaluation from a measured impulse voltage waveform is a topic under research. Conventionally there have been difficulties which come from function fitting methods based on fixed models of double-exponential and modified waveforms. This paper proposes a new flexible modeling method using tension splines whose coefficients are determined to minimise their total fitting within a given allowable deviation. The proposed method is applied to some TDG example data and the results are discussed
