  • Abstract
    This paper describes a prototype instrumentation for continuous monitoring of circuit-breakers using vibration analysis. A PC-based equipment records vibration patterns, performs analysis and presents trends automatically. Some preliminary results are presented, and the experience with the method and instrumentation is briefly outlined. The results so far are sufficiently interesting to continue pursuing the technique
