Abstract :
According to the existing reliability problems in the design of the traditional interference, interference fit problem of a tripper driving axle housing is analyzed by using the nonlinear finite element software MARC. On this basis, the effect of interference value to the contact stress in the interference fit location is studied, and the interference value interval for safe fit is found. In the reliable interference value range got through the finite element analysis, the tolerance fit is redesigned according to prior fit principle. According to "3sigma" probability distribution principle for accessory process dimension and basing on the failure interval given by the finite element simulation, the fit reliability before and after the improving of the interference fit tolerance is calculated.
