Abstract :
To study the reactors performance against switching or lightning surges, are needed developments of detail models. The reactors is a complex arrangement of coils around a magnetic core with reduced spaces among the coils by their constructions form, that does the reactors have a significant capacitances and inductances. In this paper, is presented the equations to derive the inductance, capacitance and resistance from the physical windings dimensions for core or shell type reactors developed by the application of some electromagnetic laws to obtain the equipments models. The paper includes the comparison between the admittances as frequency function, calculated with the reactors models and alternative transients program (ATP) simulations. The results obtained, gave a similar behavior for the reactors admittances, ratifying the equations versatility to derive the windings parameters of these equipments
