Abstract
From our field experience we have detected some problems on the definition of the measurement conditions for the magnetic field on transmission lines. In this paper the selection of the spatial component under measurement, the validity of the per unit current values, the selection of a lateral reference, the convenience of measurements at different lateral distances, the location of the measurement points respect the structures, and the position with respect to other electric lines are discussed
