Abstract
Based on the two-dimensional grey images of ambiguity functions of some simulated signals, the physical meaning of the ambiguity function cross-terms is explained in this paper. Then ambiguity function is used to analyze the vibration signals acquired from rolling bearings, and the analysis results are expressed in grey images. Finally the bearing fault diagnosis is accomplished by classifying the grey images of ambiguity functions. The experimental results show that, by classifying the grey images of ambiguity function including cross-terms, the kinds of the bearing defects can be identified effectively.
