Abstract :
Traditionally, step-by-step procedures determine the way in which tasks must he carried out. Safe work procedures include measures that tend to decrease or eliminate the hazards stemming from the execution of a job, with the workers and the company committing themselves to efficiently preventing accidents at work. Given the great number of tasks involved in the area of distribution, it is necessary to establish critical tasks on the basis of their potential for causing accidents. Therefore, aspects such as severity of damage, frequency of exposure, hazard assessment, probability of occurrence, means of protection, and personnel qualifications & training are fundamental when trying to determine critical tasks. They are also the basis for developing safe work procedures. This research work shows how C.A. La Electricidad de Caracas reinforces safety in its processes and redefines its work procedures according to the safe work philosophy
