  • Abstract
Authors argue that the technology-based innovation model in China has passed through three stages. The first stage is secondary innovation. The second stage is portfolio innovation. The third stage is total innovation management (TIM). Briefly present the construction of TIM as well as the three aspects of TIM: all elements innovation (AEI), high involvement innovation (HII) and all time-space innovation. This paper mainly deals with how all element innovation impacts the HII as well as the interaction between them. Finally, the experiences of one of the most successful firm (Haier) will be described as the evidence-based study .
