Abstract

This paper proposes an open sharing and interoperating platform for spatial information. We build the platform based on a services-oriented architecture to solve the problem of sharing and interoperating heterogeneous spatial information from multi-source. The GIS services, including data services and process services are integrated into this platform by the techniques of WSDL and UDDI. A data services factory is proposed and built on the platform to provide data service instances to the spatial information owners without data services. The platform implies a mediation service, which can generate an execution plan according to the information registered by the service providers, to allocate and transfer these services registered on the platform to cooperate and interact to fulfill the requests from clients.
