Abstract
Towards the contradiction in software testing between requirements of high efficiency and limited resources, research on application of software testability measurement model SPM to software testing is conducted. Trough analyzing execution probability(E), infection probability(I), propagation probability(P) and testability value(T) in determining the quantity of software test case, software testing intensity, regression testing intensity, optimizing software testing sequence and analyzing performance bottleneck, an application approach of SPM model to software testing is proposed. By validation, it is proved that it is effective and can improve testing efficiency.
