Abstract :
A nonlinear inductor physical model based on a simplified Jiles-Atherton theory is presented. The input parameters of this simplified Jiles-Atherton theory can be extracted programmatically, which makes this nonlinear inductor model easy to use in circuit simulations. The corresponding subcircuit has been developed in SPICE format and verified experimentally. One may find it very useful in examination of the inductor current ripple and in small signal stable analysis for power converter design.
