Abstract :
Wireless and positioning technologies in combination with the Internet demonstrated the capability to integrate voice and data, further leveraged by the use of software agents, allows for rapid introduction, at low cost, of a rich communication space where artifacts, people, and non-physical entities are integral parts. Given these benefits, we show the use of an active context memory that enables us, in an open architecture for the integration of VoIP, to instantiate services according to the communication context. The architecture constitutes a powerful mechanism to design and deploy new services for mobile vendors and operators. It is exemplified by a prototype of a lightweight contact center for distributed virtual networks of mobile professionals
