  • Abstract
On the basis of previous researches on knowledge transfer, and according to information systems (IS) life cycle theory and feasible knowledge transfer approaches, this paper constructs a three-dimensional framework of knowledge transfer in whole IS life cycle. This framework is to explore the diversity of knowledge contents which need to be transferred and knowledge transfer approaches. The researches indicate that there existed adaptability problem of contents and approaches during knowledge transfer in the process of IS construction and application. This framework can be used to analyze knowledge transfer between IS users and external service organizations for external IS adopting mode, to guide the match of contents and approaches in knowledge transfer. This paper also gives a practical case to illustrate the application process of the framework.
