Abstract :
The social value of electricity has increased in modern life, which is extremely energy-dependent to satisfy the human needs. Thus, the electric sector has a natural concern to join business and social claims. Such matter incited utilities to develop social projects in order to raise social welfare of the population living around their production areas. The electric production companies are also able to finance projects and to ensure voluntary labor. These projects are based on sustainable development assumption, in view of corporate social responsibility (CSR). Tn developing countries, utilities are playing an important role in the social development issue
