Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis of the intermodulation (IMD) distortion products that appear in a dual one-switch-zero-voltage-switching (1SW-ZVS) resonant inverter. The converter switching frequencies, and therefore output power for each burner, are currently not independent of each other consequently audible noise appears. With this analysis and the increased operation frequency range obtained with silicon carbide (SiC) devices, audible noise can be avoided while maintaining the variable frequency control and reducing the number of EMI filters as one can be shared by two or more inverters. This work enables to establish the simultaneous operation and SW (Square Wave) control for different output power settings. This is important for the future generation of cooking appliances based on multiple mini-inverters.
