Abstract :
The Iowa State University College of Engineering (USA) is preparing for its first ABET visit under the new Criteria 2000 guidelines. A key element of the preparation is the involvement of all faculty in the assessment process. In addition to the traditional committees and task forces utilized for previous ABET visits, the Colleges of Education and engineering are partnering in the development of learning outcomes and assessment procedures. A research project on faculty attitudes toward learning assessment is providing insight into how to enhance faculty involvement.
