Abstract :
Left-turning traffic is a critical and influential factor for urban intersection of traffic operation. As an integrated transportation hub, the railway station of Hohhot assembles so many taxis, buses and pedestrians, which result in traffic capacity reducing and conflicting. Traffic delay phenomenon is very severe. Based on the field investigation on the traffic organization and control, this paper analyzed traffic operation conditions under the present situations. Also, from the perspectives of guaranteeing safe operation of vehicles standpoint and reducing waiting delay to the minimum standpoint, the paper proposed the improving measurements for traffic management and control.
