Abstract :
Gyroscopes with high reliability and long lifespan are very important to the development of high quality space aerocrafts. In this article, various redundant configurations of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) inertial measurement unit (IMU) is proposed. The reliability of these different configurations is studied. Moreover, this article analyses the error judgement rule when several FOGs work at the same time. Finally, the issues of measurement precision of different redundant configurations methods are discussed.
