  • Abstract
Hematocytes image segmentation is a practice of computer medical detection which is based on the medical characteristics of blood cells, the Computer Graphics, and Image Segmentation. In this paper, we have proposed a new color components´ computing method on different color spaces for image segmentation based on blood cells biology, image and color features. First, original image is changed between RGB color space, CMYK color space, and Lab color space, then extract a variety of color component images. Second, compute those components, assisted by threshold segmentation and region segmentation technique, to achieve a variety of hematocyte components division. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the new method.
