Abstract
Exact synthesis of millimetre-wave signals has been realised for the first time by heterodyne detection of DFB lasers locked to an optical frequency comb generator. Signals were generated in the range 10 to 40 GHz with SSB noise of -74 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset
