  • Abstract
The proposed approach reduces ambiguities in measurement results interpretation caused by the difficulty in defining the electrical non-uniformities existing in the quartz resonator connection region in typical measurement circuits. There is no essential restriction in the extension of this approach to other types of piezoelectric resonators having enclosures of quite different shapes-e.g. ceramic and SMT leadless enclosures-and to dielectric resonators, provided a suitable adapter corresponding to their specific construction is designed. The availability of the universal electromagnetic simulator makes possible very accurate determination of the measurement adapter parameters, knowledge of which is essential in the proposed approach
