  • Abstract
Intelligent machining means a blend between machining processes (turning, milling, drilling, grinding) and sensors, intelligent monitored by hardware and software applications dedicated to this task. From hardware point of view, today the sensors are incorporated by default in all machining equipments, but the intelligence is mostly human. Further researches try to replace the human decisions with artificial intelligence. This work presents a technical solution for a general machining process optimization. Logical inference is used in order to solve this problem. Economical aspects of the machining process were also considered important factors in this approach.
