Abstract
A new outside sensitive damping valve is developed, which doesn´t need any electronic control system. The working principle, elements configuration and outside characteristic of the new valve are studied. The mathematical model of the valve is proposed and its damping characteristic is studied mainly depending on the continuity equation, differential equations of motion, Bernoulli equation. The influence of the valve parameters on the damping characteristic is studied by simulation. The effect on ride and tire load of the outside sensitive damping valve and general outside damping valve are compared. The result shows that the developed outside sensitive damping valve can adjust on two stages, which can also meet the requirement of the dynamic characteristic of the vehicle suspension system.
