Abstract :
Measurement of agility is necessary for the strategic planning of determining how much agility an organization currently possess, determining how much is needed, and then for assessing the gap and formulating strategy for closing any perceived weaknesses. In this work, we present an index system for measuring agility according to the study of predecessors as well as our own views. In addition, a method for agility measurement using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Bayesian belief networks (BBN) is proposed to effectively aggregate experts´ knowledge and experience, and to arrive at a reasonable final decision. We then apply our method to measure the agility of a manufacturing enterprise. The results show that the method is effective and reasonable
